State Leaders

State Leaders are on-the-ground advocates for election innovations in their home states. The situation on the ground is different in each state. For example, some innovations happen in the state legislatures while other changes can happen at the ballot box.

Montana Testimonials

"Our two-party system is broken. Only 18% of Americans approve of the way Congress is doing its job. Political polarization is crippling Congress. Not surprisingly, 43% of voters consider themselves independent with the remaining 47% evenly split between Democrats and Republicans. America deserves better. Open primaries and ranked-choice voting will energize and attract a wider array of voters while affording greater opportunities for emerging political leadership. Veterans understand the value of teamwork to achieve an objective. We have a stake in this great nation. We don’t have to vote for the lesser of two evils anymore. Together, let’s fix this."

Military Veteran

"The VAV mission is the most compelling follow on to my twenty years of uniformed service. Our political discourse and momentum is carrying us in a divided and frightening direction, and the opportunity to play a small part in a large course correction honors my service and all those I was privileged to serve alongside."

U.S. Navy Veteran

"I am tired of talking heads and politicians who have never had skin in the game. Veterans have had skin in the game since early in life and want to see America thrive for all. Veterans know that win-lose solutions perpetuate resentment and continue the divide. We are amazing problem solvers who know how to work toward optimal solutions using hard work and creativity."

U.S. Army Veteran

"As a veteran, I believe that my commitment to service didn’t end when I took off my uniform. Through my military career and beyond, I’ve witnessed the profound impact that dedicated individuals and grassroots efforts can have on both personal and national levels. Veterans have always been at the forefront of shaping our nation, contributing to its growth and democracy.

Volunteering for Veterans for All Voters excites me because it provides a direct way to continue this tradition of service. By engaging in this organization, I can help ensure that all veterans have a voice and the opportunity to contribute to our democratic process. This role allows me to leverage my experiences and dedication to support fellow veterans in making informed, impactful decisions, thereby continuing our mission to uphold and strengthen the democracy we fought to protect.

It’s about continuing the fight, not with weapons, but through empowering our community and ensuring that every veteran’s voice is heard and valued in shaping our nation’s future."
