About the event

The event will open with a brief historical introduction and background, opening remarks from VPI-NY, Final Five NYC, and other honored guests & partners. 

The march will commence with stops at points of interest including Sunset Park, Greenwood Cemetery, Old Stone House, and Prospect Park with VPI-NY team leaders facilitating the discussion. 

The discussion will also focus on the importance of election reform (open primaries and final five voting) and how it rings true to the principles and spirit of 1776.  The discussion will focus on the different interests that made the Continental forces and the common cause that united them. 

Lunch will be served at a designated time and point along the march. 

The event will conclude at Cadman Plaza with closing remarks and directing participants to the post-march party/reception.
