SXSW 2024: Independents: Wielding the Power to End Polarization

We’ll examine how Independents can be a moderating force for good to break down barriers and help end divisive political polarization within their social circles. Research has found that both D’s and R’s were more likely to talk about politics with Independents than with members of the opposing party. 

With this in mind, we believe Independents may be frequent and reliable discussion partners for partisans and may be able to help moderate political views. Let’s discuss how Independents can step up to the plate to help save our country from political divide!
